directories monitored included: Yahoo, Infoseek, Lycos, Excite,
WebCrawler, MSN, HotBot, Scrub, Snap, LookSmart, Magellan, Northern
Light, AltaVista, Fireball and Goo. Rankings are presented in decending
order. Each item consists of: a) rank; b) search words; and c) URL to
actual search results.

Overview: Art is one of the most popular
and most competitive categories on the Internet. Masterpiece Paintings Gallery was #1
on virtually every major search engine in the world, including the
leading Japanese, German and Australia-New Zealand search engines. In
some cases Masterpiece Paintings Gallery was #1 among 30,163,000 sites.
